Diesel Engine Generator Governors

Diesel engine generator governors, which are often referred to as the speed controller for the diesel engine, can be divided into two basic groups: Mechanical/Electrical Control and Electronic Control. In order to maintain generator output specifications, a diesel engine must maintain a pre-determined speed. If the engine's speed is not correct, the generator will not maintain the required output specifications. This article explores the different types of governors equipped on diesel generator sets. Click below to read the article on Diesel Engine Generator Governors.
