How Does Electricity Get to Your Residence or Business?
This month we take a look into how electricity makes it from the power companies to the end users. The article details how power is transmitted, generated and distributed to an average place of residence and to the other side of the spectrum - a large commercial facility or manufacturing plant. Interruptions in power can occur all along this process but with emergency generators in place, the power grid does have standby power at the ready in some areas in case of a disruption. The article also includes a chart and examples of the roles generator sets play.
