Resistive and Reactive Load Bank Testing

Resistive & Reactive Controls

Scheduled load bank testing of backup generators is recommended to prevent the potential for loss in the event of a power failure. When testing an emergency generator configuration, the engine, generator and control systems should all be evaluated.

Resistive and reactive load bank tests can be used in place of a facilities load test. A load bank is a self-contained, unitized, systematic device that includes load elements with control and accessory devices. This article discusses resistive and reactive load back testing - which are both testing services offered by Diesel Service & Supply.
