Trend Outlook: A Closer Look at Biodiesel
Biodiesel fuel is gaining popularity as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional fossil fuels and can be formulated to operate in standard diesel engines.  Biodiesel fuel has properties very similar to typical diesel fuel but has the added advantages of being produced from renewable sources of agricultural crops and spent sources of vegetable oil.  Biodiesel fuel is also a better lubricant and has the potential to reduce engine wear.  The emissions from engines using biodiesel fuel are cleaner and have a lesser impact on the environment opposed to burning conventional fuels.

With  increased pressure from the EPA and other environmental organizations, biodiesel fuel may become a viable fuel source for diesel power generators.
