Introduction to NFPA 110

NFPA 110The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is a nonprofit organization established in 1896 that aims to eliminate injuries and property damage due to fire and electrical-rated hazards. NFPA 110 is a guide that includes the standard performance requirements for emergency and standby power systems including power sources, transfer equipment, controls, supervisory equipment, and more. This month's article reviews the eight chapters in NFPA 110 and highlights the main points covered in each section.
