Industrial Generator Set Control Panels
 Control panels play an important role in most backup power systems. The Operator Panel on the genset not only shows output readings and allows you to modify settings but it also interfaces with other aspects of the system like an automatic transfer switch that will start and control the genset during a power failure. This article outlines the typical functions of control panels during power loss, defines the different types of control panels, discusses newer options like remote HMIs, paralleling panels for redundant configurations and remote network interfacing.
