Diesel Generator & Engine Advancements
Recent advancements in diesel engine technology have significantly aided the modernization of electric power generators. Engine control technology has been revolutionized by the digital age as precise digital controls have replaced analog controls allowing for much more efficient start-up and operation. Significant advancement in fuel systems design, including fuel formulations and treatments, which provide more horsepower with cleaner emissions, have been recently implemented in new engine design.  The following article looks at the current technologies used in power generation and what new technologies have recently surfaced or that will be in use in the near future.  As power demand and environmental restrictions increase, the need for new and improved sources of power continues to be on the rise.    
 
There is an increasing need for efficient and cleaner forms of back-up and emergency power.  Recent improvements to diesel generators and engines will continue to make diesel power generators the premier option for standby power for years to come.
